Tandemoro is an energetic indie-rock band with a strong Motown influence. They are based in Los Angeles. Their live show is a dance party both on stage and in the crowd. Fronting the band is guitarist and singer, Mike Griffin (also from the bands Western States Motel and Alaskan Summer). Tandemoro includes Paul Cartwright on bass, Shannon McKinnon on the drums, and Sean O’Malley and Fanny Penny on background vocals and percussion. The band is currently touring in support of their most recent EP, Mexican Motown, while writing and recording material for their third LP, Zimbabwe Nights. 


Tandemoro has been featured on Left of Center, Indie 103.1, Little Radio, BBC Radio 1, Live 395, Blog Radio, KXLU, Aquarium Drunkard, and KEXP. Their songs have been placed in feature films and television shows including the film Medicine For Melancholy and HBO’s Dane Cook’s Tourgasm. Members of Tandemoro have also performed and/or recorded with Ozomatli, Kenny Loggins, Earth Wind and Fire, Dr. Dre, War, Los Lobos, Oingo Boingo, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Black-Eyed Peas, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The band has shared bills with Rilo Kiley, Earlimart, Division Day, Field Music, and The Airborne Toxic Event.
